Hello!
My name is Claire Bohlig (she/her) and I'm a Mechanical Engineer working in the Boston area. I love working on teams passionate about the problems they are solving and enjoy pushing to find the best solution that includes all prospective users.
I graduated with honors from Northeastern University in May 2023 with minors in Computer Science and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. During my time there I completed Co-ops at Desktop Metal, SharkNinja, Starry, and Product Insight. I joined the Engineering team at PI in July of 2023.
I'm originally from just outside of Minneapolis, MN, and I grew up helping my two engineering parents on all sorts of projects around the house. Creating has my heart and I competed in cabinetmaking on a national level in high school and knit or craft in my time outside work. In college, I found a love of travel and spend every vacation day exploring abroad and around Boston.
I also love to engage with my local community. At Northeastern, I was the Chapter Director for the organization Strong Women Strong Girls. Shortened to SWSG, it's a mentoring non-profit program focused on empowering 3-5th grade girls in the Boston area. Mentoring has become a large part of my life, and it's been an honor to connect with the Boston community.
